UPCOMING SPECIAL MEETINGS OF THE BYRON TOWN BOARD
The Byron Town Board will hold their last Town Board Meeting of 2024 on Monday, December 30, 2023 at 5:30p.m. at the Byron Town Hall, 7028 Rte. 237, Byron, New York. 
The purpose of the Special Town Board meeting will be to pay year-end bills, make year-end budget transfers and review fire protection contract(s).
Please note this Amendment:
This notice shall be amended to include the signing of the hosting agreement between the Town of Byron and Leather Leaf Solar, LLC. This too shall include signing the fire protection contract(s) along with review.

The Byron Town Board will hold their Organizational Meeting on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 6:00p.m. at the Byron Town Hall, 7028 Rte. 237, Byron, New York. 
All elected or appointed officials of the Town of Byron are to be sworn into office.

PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION WORKSHOP FOR SENIORS
The Assessor's Office is holding a PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION workshop on:
Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 10:00am - 12:00pm
Workshop will be held at the Town Hall, located at 7028 Rt 237, Byron.
The purpose of this workshop is to inform SENIORS of possible property tax exemptions.
Enhanced STAR Exemption   (School Taxes)
Enhanced STAR Credit    (School Taxes)
Senior Citizens Exemption     (County Taxes):
If you are over age 65 and the income from all owners is $32,200 or less, you may receive and exemption based on a sliding scale.

Stop by on January 11th to ask questions, pick up an application, or bring your 2023 tax return with you and we can fill it out right here!
Please note:APPLICATIONS REQUIRE SIGNATURES FROM ALL OWNERS

NYSEG and RG&E
        Heap Application open on November 1st.
The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) can help eligible New Yorkers heat and cool their homes. If you are eligible, you may receive one regular HEAP benefit per program year and could also be eligible for emergency HEAP benefits if you are in danger of running out of fuel or having your utility service shut off.

Town Hall is currently open during the following hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
- Friday: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
